About the Event
|
Exactly 5 years ago The City of Deerfield Beach joined forces with the promoter Debora Christina and
created "The Brazilian Carnival". Due to the overwhelming success of the event since 2003, the City
realized the huge repercussion of this party and the non-stop compliments. They also recognized the
merit of the wonderful team who has been working each year for the constant improvement and
consolidation of this festival which has already become part of the Brazilian Community's heart.
This is, no doubt, the biggest and most popular Brazilian street festival ever seen in Florida. Florida's warm
weather coupled with Brazilian's people's warmth and joyful mood could only result in this immense
success, internationally projecting Brazil even higher!
The City of Deerfield Beach stated that the successful event was only possible due to the combined
efforts put into this project and to the essential presence of the Brazilian
community in this area which has surely contributed to the recent City's growth. This has led the city to invest in the promotion of the
Brazilian culture and the hosting this event.
The event is organized by Debora Christina, events coordinator and promoter, and resident of Deerfield
Beach, who is responsible for the fast expansion of the Brazilian culture in our city through the Brazilian
Carnival. This year the party takes place at the Hillsboro Blvd.
One day event on November 23, Sunday, from 12:00pm to 10:00pm with booths serving Brazilian typical dishes, selling handcrafts and
the all-day entertainment on the main stage offering exciting live Brazilian music and dance. With the
energetic group of musicians, percussionists, singers and special presentations of
capoeira, school of
samba and mulatas was sure to drive the crowd wild!
The festival was attended by Americans who love Brazil and its exuberant culture, as well as by people from all nationalities who share the love of music
and good times with their Brazilian neighbors, making the Festival a major multi-cultural event.

 The young promoter has proven to be responsible for organizing one of the biggest Brazilian events in the United States. Onlylast year it brought in ten thousand people to the two-day party in Deerfield Beach. “I lovepromoting events. I have a B.A. in Journalism from Brazil and I’m a very communicativeperson and that is an important tool to work with events promotion”,
saidDebora.
Debora’s career started in2001 at Crabby Jack’s, where she promotes the Brazilian Night on Sundays.During these four years she has catered to over 400 clients and has enjoyed tremendoussuccess. She has also organized sport championships, carnivals, and other typesof events such as cocktails, company’s grand openings, as well as musicentertainment and shows for local bars. She headed the beneficent June Party(Festa Junina) in Davie,with an attendance of over four thousand people.
“Since I startedworking with events I’ve always dreamed of bringing out this celebration to ourcommunity”, Debora recalled. My objective is to return the trust and theinvestment made by the City of Deerfield Beach by organizing such a great event for theBrazilians living in the area. Debora really appreciates the support from allcity officers who banked on her vision.
“We also receivethe support of an incredible cast of artists from our community who wanted toshow their work and to celebrate both the Brazilian culture and the well-known localartists”, she added.
The participationin the event is free and your enjoyment is certain. Debora is also thankful forthe support the event receives from the City of Deerfield Beach Recreation Center’sstaff. They are very professional and they really take care of every event detail,coordinating with the Fire and the Police Departments to ensure intensivepolicing and guaranteeing the safety and security of the event and all theservices providing an excellent service to the public.
